Responsible Fatherhood Grant

The Department of Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention was awarded a $2,500,000.00 grant "Pathways to Responsible Fatherhood" thru the Administrations for Children and Families. The award will be used to help 14 agencies around the state to empower parents and caregivers to make healthy and responsible choices that improve the social, psychological and financial well-being of their children.

The following statewide agencies are included in the grant:

• Alfred Saliba Family Services Center

• Autauga County Family Support Center

• Calhoun Community College

• Community Action Agency of Northwest Alabama, Inc.

• The Family Center

• Family Guidance Center of Alabama

• Gadsden State Community College

• Impact Family Counseling Center, Inc.

• National Children's Advocacy Center

• Pickens County Family Resource Center

• Sylacauga Alliance for Family Enhancement (SAFE)

• Tuscaloosa's One Place, A Family Resource Center

• University of Alabama at Birmingham TASC
